Course Overview
Designed for experienced clinicians, this advanced course will present a unique partial or complete alternative to bone augmentation in the severely atrophic maxilla using Zygoma implants. Successful prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with severe bone resorption in the maxilla is often compromised by the inability to obtain sufficient anchorage for the prosthesis. Such patients seek a permanent solution that involves minimal surgical procedures and reduced treatment time, without sacrificing their expectations of success.
After this 2-day course, you will:
- have experienced live Zygoma surgery.
- recognize the indications and contraindications for the zygomatic implant.
- have had an introduction to pre-treatment planning with the NobelClinician software, including anticipation of the pro visional prosthesis.
- have exercised the placement of Zygoma implants by hands-on on models.
- know the prosthetic solutions for Zygoma implant with the NobelProcera CAD/CAM system.
- know how to convert the patients existing denture into an immediately-loaded, fixed prosthesis.
- know how to maintain Zygoma implants and how to manage complications.
