Restoring severely compromised non-ferrule teeth is one of the most challenging situations in adhesive restorative dentistry. In these cases, predictable bonding is not only dependent on the adhesive system or restorative material, but also on the stability and cleanliness of the clinical environment.

This course introduces Absolute Isolation as a fundamental concept in Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry. Absolute isolation is not simply the placement of a rubber dam. It is the continuous control of moisture, fluid, soft tissue, and mechanical stability throughout the adhesive procedure.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

🔹Understand the concept of Absolute Isolation in biomimetic adhesive dentistry.
🔹Recognize that absolute isolation is not simply the placement of a rubber dam, but the continuous control of moisture, fluid, soft tissue, and mechanical stability during adhesive procedures.
🔹Apply clinical strategies for rubber dam-based absolute isolation, including punching design, clamp selection, floss stabilization, sheet tension control, and leakage management.
🔹Understand the limitations of conventional rubber dam isolation in difficult clinical situations such as non-ferrule teeth, subgingival margins, deep margins, and structurally compromised teeth.
🔹Use PTFE-assisted isolation as an extension strategy when conventional rubber dam isolation alone is not sufficient.
🔹Create a stable adhesive environment for Bio-Base development and adhesive reconstruction in non-ferrule teeth.
🔹Understand how advanced isolation protocols can improve adhesion and support long-term restorative success.
